The Extended Care and Geriatric Service at the James H. Quillen VAMC Mountain Home is composed of three areas

Services Offered
Community Living Center (CLC)
The CLC is a 120 bed facility, operating with 84 beds, located on the grounds of the medical center. Patients are admitted for a short stay or a long stay. Short stays include rehabilitation, restorative therapy, skilled nursing, respite, hospice, and geriatric evaluation and management. Long term stays include skilled nursing and long term health maintenance.

Non-Institutional Care Programs
Non-Institutional Care Programs consist of programs that manage care in Veterans homes and community settings. Services include:
- Home based primary care
- Hospice and palliative care
- Home telehealth care / care coordination
- Adult day health care
- Community nursing home care
- Skilled and unskilled home care
- Home hospice care
- Home IV therapy
- Homemaker/Home Health Aide
